Plymouth Dermatology Associates is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the clinical and operational management of our Mohs Surgery Unit. This role blends hands-on patient care, team leadership, and workflow coordination in a collaborative dermatology and dermatologic surgery setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Mohs surgeon with all aspects of patient care — surgical setup, rooming, charting, anesthesia preparation, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative care.
- Provide compassionate patient education on wound care, post-op instructions, and follow-up.
- Help maintain efficient daily operations, including supply management, scheduling, and clinical workflow.
- Support staff hiring, training, and scheduling; promote a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality-of-care standards.
- Coordinate imaging, referrals, pre-op screenings, and follow-up for the Cutaneous Oncology Clinic.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license (required).
- 3+ years of experience in dermatology, surgical, or procedural nursing (preferred).
- Leadership, charge nurse, or coordination experience are a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
- Potential to take on increased responsibilities and lead projects as you grow in the role.
